Mahi Mahi Fishing Hat, Richardson 169 Cap Includes FREE saltwater sticker pack
MAHI MAHI
From a Custom Trophy Carving to Your Favorite Fishing Hat.
This Mahi Mahi hat didn’t start with a piece of stock artwork or a computer-generated fish.
It started with a real trophy fish and a custom carving.
The Mahi artwork featured on this Folk Fish Studio hat comes from an original custom fish carving created by artist Jason Smith of Morrow, Ohio, for a client in North Carolina.
Jason carved the Mahi as a custom trophy mount, capturing the shape and character of one of the most recognizable fish in bluewater fishing. That original artwork was later transformed into the design you see on this hat.
From a custom trophy on the wall to a hat made for the water.
ORIGINAL ART WITH A REAL FISH STORY
At Folk Fish Studio, the fish art has a story behind it.
Jason’s work begins with traditional hands-on craftsmanship — creating original fish carvings and artwork that can later become the designs featured across Folk Fish Studio apparel and headwear.
This Mahi is especially meaningful because the artwork originated from an actual custom trophy carving commissioned for a fisherman in North Carolina.
It’s not just another mahi graphic.
It’s fishing art that started as a one-of-a-kind piece.
SUBLIMATED • HEAT-PRESSED PATCH
The original Mahi artwork is reproduced on a sublimated patch, allowing the colors, details, and character of the fish artwork to stand out.
The finished patch is then heat pressed directly onto the front of the hat, creating a clean look that lets the artwork take center stage.
Old-school fish art meets modern fishing headwear.
RICHARDSON 169
The Mahi artwork is paired with a Richardson 169 — a great-looking cap that’s right at home offshore, at the marina, around the dock, or anywhere you’d rather be talking about fishing.
Throw it on before the boat leaves the dock and don’t take it off until the fish are cleaned.
MADE FOR THE MAHI OBSESSED
Weed lines.
Floating debris.
Birds working in the distance.
A screaming reel.
And that flash of electric green, yellow, and blue coming across the water.
If you’ve chased Mahi offshore, you know.
And if you’ve ever watched a big bull light up next to the boat, you definitely know.
WEAR THE FISH STORY.
