The Maumee River Raider Hoodie from Folk Fish Studio celebrates walleye fishing with original artwork that has an even better story behind it. This design is a father-and-son collaboration between Folk Fish Studio artist Jason Smith and his 18-year-old son, Dane Smith.

And this time, Dane picked up the carving tools.

A FATHER & SON FISH ART COLLABORATION

The walleye featured in the Maumee River Raider design was wood carved by Dane Smith at 18 years old specifically to create the original block-printed fish artwork.

After carving the walleye, the fish was inked and block printed, carrying on the same hands-on printmaking process behind Folk Fish Studio’s fish art.

Dane didn’t stop with the carving, either. He also worked alongside his dad, Jason Smith of Morrow, Ohio, helping develop the overall layout and finished Maumee River Raider design.

The result is more than another walleye graphic.

It’s an original piece of fishing art created by a father-and-son team, starting with a carving made by hand and ending with a design made to be worn by fellow anglers.
