Bucket Bass Largemouth Bass Fishing T-Shirt | Original Wood-Carved Fish Art
Big mouth. Big attitude. Bucket Bass.
The Bucket Bass Folk Fish T-Shirt celebrates one of America’s favorite freshwater gamefish—the largemouth bass—and the fishermen who can never resist making one more cast.
Around bass fishermen, a big largemouth is often called a bucketmouth for obvious reasons. When a trophy bass opens that enormous mouth at the side of the boat, you understand exactly where the nickname came from.
Folk Fish Studio took that idea and turned it into the Bucket Bass.
But this isn’t just another computer-generated bass graphic.
The artwork featured on this shirt originates from an actual wood-carved and hand-painted bass created by artist Jason Smith of Morrow, Ohio.
FROM WOOD CARVING TO WEARABLE BASS ART
At Folk Fish Studio, the artwork starts with the fish—not the T-shirt.
Jason first creates the Bucket Bass as a physical piece of folk art. The fish is carved from wood by hand and then individually hand painted to capture the colors, markings, shape, and personality of a largemouth bass.
That original three-dimensional wooden Folk Fish is then transformed into the apparel artwork featured on this shirt.
So the bass you’re wearing didn’t begin as a stock illustration pulled from a computer.
It began as an actual piece of hand-carved and hand-painted fish art.
It’s where traditional fish carving, American folk art, and bass fishing culture come together.
FOLK FISH STUDIO | MORROW, OHIO
Folk Fish Studio apparel starts somewhere different.
With wood, carving tools, paint, and a fish.
Artist Jason Smith of Morrow, Ohio hand carves and individually paints the original wooden Folk Fish that inspire our apparel collection.
Those physical carvings are then transformed into wearable artwork while preserving the colors, markings, textures, imperfections, and personality of the originals.
It’s a connection between the artist, the craft, the fisherman, and the fish.
Hand carved. Hand painted. Made in Ohio. Turned into wearable fish art.
Because every bass fisherman is looking for a bass…
But what they really want is a Bucket.
