Featuring an original walleye over a Lake Erie-inspired chart with “WALLY SEASON / LAKE ERIE”, this hoodie combines a little fishing humor with the handcrafted fish-art style behind Folk Fish Studio.

A FATHER & SON COLLABORATION

Like the Maumee River Raider design, Wally Season grew out of the creative collaboration between Jason Smith and his 18-year-old son, Dane Smith, of Morrow, Ohio.

Dane created the original hand-carved walleye used for the block print, while Jason and Dane worked together developing the overall design and layout.

The fish wasn’t pulled from a stock-art catalog.

It started as an actual piece of wood.

Dane carved the walleye by hand, the carving was inked and block printed, and that original fish artwork became the centerpiece of the finished Wally Season design.

It’s another example of what Folk Fish Studio is all about — taking traditional, hands-on fish art and turning it into something fishermen actually want to wear.
